Today is a hot day for Android handsets that feature QWERTY and touchscreens. Fido is the third report that we will have written about a Canadian carrier releasing a device with this form factor. This time it’s from LG and goes by the name of Gossip Pro, a low-end smartphone that runs 2.3 Gingerbread and has a 2.8-inch touchscreen. While it’s not the cheapest out of the bunch it’s in the middle between Huawei’s Boulder ($135 outright on WIND) and Motorola’s PRO+ 4G ($349.95 onBell) at $250 outright and can be dropped down to $40 on a 2-year contract. The Gossip Pro has a good enough camera at 3-megapixel but don’t leave your dedicated point and shoot camera at home as it is no where near the quality of high-end Androids and iPhones.
