Rogers to launch new “Simplified Pricing” plans

It appears Rogers will be coming out with new “Simplified Pricing” plans that according to an internal document, will include 3 new options that will include “unlimited talk, text, and internet.” At this point we have no word on the availability of these plans or the price but what we do know is Rogers has new plans for the holiday season. Rogers prices the Samsung Galaxy Note II at $649.99 on a month-to-month plan

By now all fans of the Samsung Galaxy Note II will be launching in Canada on October 30th, Gangnam Style. TELUS Galaxy S III to receive Jelly Bean “Late November”

Samsung previously stated that Canadians can expect to see an upgrade to Jelly Bean for various Galaxy devices before the holidays. According to TELUS’ “Device OS Upgrade schedule” that was dated October 17th, it shows that Android 4.1 Jelly Bean has an “Expected in market date” for late November or late December. If this information is true we have a few more.

TELUS lights up LTE coverage in Lethbridge and Taber

TELUS has recently expanded its network, bringing service to many parts of British Columbia, and today has turned on its LTE network in a couple Albertan municipalities. Lethbridge and Taber are seeing speeds of nearly 40Mbps according to a screenshot sent in from a customer. Of course these speeds are obtainable due to the lack of users on the LTE network and as more subscribe to plans.

Samsung Canada to launch Galaxy Note II Gangnam Style

By now you must have seen or heard about Gangnam Style, a song and video that went viral. Samsung has reached out to the artist of the song, PSY, to perform his first live performance at the Kool Haus in Toronto, on October 30th. Unfortunately tickets will not be available for purchase, however Samsung Canada says “some lucky Canadians can win the opportunity to attend by checking.

TELUS releasing Samsung Galaxy Note II Oct 30th

The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note II has made it into a lot of hands of tech gurus from around the world and soon it will be in the hands of consumers. Rogers releases the Motorola RAZR HD LTE for as low as $99

Rogers has been spewing out a ton of LTE super phones in recent months and today the company has released the Motorola RAZR HD LTE. This Android-powered device comes with version 4.0, other known as Ice Cream Sandwich, but will be upgraded to Jelly Bean “soon”. In terms of specs, it’s quite impressive with a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED HD Display (720 x 1280), Gorilla Glass,.

MTS Allstream to offer iPhone 5 on September 28

MTS today announced it will offer Apple’s latest iPhone 5 in Canada starting Friday, September 28. The iPhone 5 will be available for $179 for the 16GB model, $279 for a 32GB model and $379 for the 64GB model. In addition, the iPhone 4S will of course come down in price — starting at $79 and iPhone 4 will be available for $0 starting today. MTS will allow iPhone 5 subscribers.

TELUS LTE network goes live in BC: Whistler, Squamish and Pemberton

Canada’s largest carriers have been expanding rapidly over the past couple years with their respective LTE (Long Term Evolution) networks — spanning coast to coast. TELUS has continued their expansion and announced that they have invested $1.7 million to bring the super fast speeds to small communities: Whistler, Squamish, Pemberton and the Sea to Sky Highway in British Columbia..
