There’s no question that we all love the great speeds that come from LTE technology. Verizon was the first carrier to launch a 4G LTE network in the US but AT&T has followed suit with their own LTE network.  

The Motorola Droid RAZR on Verizon may have been overshadowed by the Galaxy Nexus but it’s still a great phone. Rumors were floating around for awhile but for our American neighbors they can pick up this sleek device now in Verizon stores across the US. Though the Verizon lineups if any at all, are for the Samsung-built Galaxy Nexus, this uber-slim handset is in many cases equally. 

After a night of partying out in the night, showing off your newly acquired Verizon Galaxy Nexus, a number of people have discovered that their geeky Google Galaxy Nexus handset was not so glitz and glam after all.  

Within hours after Verizon officially launched the Samsung-built Galaxy Nexus, we received word from our American correspondent, that the highly anticipated Galaxy Nexus was sold out. After digging through some of our contacts, we contacted a Best Buy manager regarding its availability and we can confirm that the big box retailer Best Buy still has stock available. Our contact also confirmed. 

The LG Optimus LTE that released on Bell here in Canada has 3 other variants around the world. Two for the Korean market and the LG Nitro HD on the AT&T network south of the border. It now seems that America’s largest carrier, Verizon, is going to offer the speedy device as well — rumors suggesting the name LG Spectrum.  

The long wait is soon to be over. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be available from Verizon starting tomorrow, December 15th, for $299 on a 2-year contract. With little left to say, we’re just happy our American neighbors down south can finally get their hands on the Galaxy Nexus with 4G LTE. Sales start as early as 1AM EST, but there is delays due to shipping times, but if you can get. 

For those who have been wondering why Verizon has not released the Galaxy Nexus should stop wondering today. The Verge is reporting that December 9th was no doubt the original plan for the carrier to unleash this beast but Verizon made the decision to hold back, keeping retailers from selling the phone.

With Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy Nexus expected to make landfall in December with rumors of either an 8th or 9th release is making its rounds. A Verizon badged Galaxy Nexus has made an appearance as Droid-Life was tipped with an image.  

According to a picture obtained by Droid-Life, it looks like customers of Verizon Wireless could see a white version of the Motorola Droid RAZR as it has been discovered in the companies device management system. So far we have seen some great Android smartphones from Samsung and HTC’s hign-end range and it looks like Motorola may also working on a Droid RAZR in vanilla. At this point.
