HTC has announced a Japan-only device with a long-rumoured five-inch 1080p display. The technology, referred to as Super LCD3, brings the phone’s pixel density up to 440 pixels per inch. From what we have been hearing from our contacts in Taiwan, this new HTC superphone looks absolutely amazing with a stunning display. TELUS releases HTC One V

TELUS has released the HTC One V, an entry-level Android smartphone running 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. This handset is one of HTC’s One Series line of smartphones, the smaller and cheaper sibling of the One S and flagship One X. TELUS is dubbing this device a “versatile multi-media phone”. For reminders, the device comes with a 3.7-inch display, 1GHz Snapdragon processor,.

Koodo Mobile launches HTC One V with $50 discount out of the gates

Koodo has launched the HTC One V today and has put the smartphone on sale right off the bat. Internal documents suggest the retail price is $225, which was still under competition, but they have decided to position the device down by $50 and sell it at an astonishing $175. At this price it is a steal for an entry-level Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich handset. Now don’t get this confused.

Traditionally, durability tests of electronic devices are conducted through “drop tests”, which involves consciously dropping the device on the ground from around 6 feet, then analyzing the damages it has taken. Bell Mobility launching HTC One S

The HTC One S will be coming to Canada and will be available on Bell, Virgin, SaskTel and TELUS. Last week we saw Virgin Mobile officially register for this Android 4.0 Beats equipped smartphone. In the Virgin terms and conditions they stated that it will be available for “activation in-stores and online on Thursday, May 17, 2012″. Our friend from Future Shop has confirmed that.

NCIX taking pre-orders for the NVIDIA Tegra 3 powered HTC One X

Apple wins ban of HTC Android smartphones at ITC

The US International Trade Commission just ruled in favor of Apple in its case against Taiwanese company HTC, banning the importation and sale of the sale of HTC smartphones that are running Google’s Android operating system. HTC Flyer to receive Android Honeycomb — starts to roll out today
