Google acquires mobile office app maker QuickOffice

Google has announced today that it has acquired mobile document editing company QuickOffice, which is famous for productivity applications for iOS, Android and Symbian devices. The application comes with two versions, Quickoffice Pro and Quickoffice Pro HD, which sells for $15 and $21 on Google Play. On Apple’s App Store the application only comes as Quickoffice Pro universal version.

Siri for iPad rumoured to come with iOS 6 update

As you all know by now, Siri, Apple’s voice assistant, is currently limited to the Apple iPhone 4S but rumours have surfaced online leaning towards the possibility of the iPad with iOS 6 receiving the upgrade. According to the guys at 9to5Mac, when the application arrives on the iPad, it will feature all the same features, that include iMessage, Calender managing, Reminders, weather,.

Samsung Galaxy S III teardown: Sony-made camera sensor found inside

The great folks at iFixIt has taken a look inside the Samsung Galaxy S III to see what components the Korean Electronics kingpin decided to pack inside. The teardown reveals the 1.4Ghz Exynos 4412 quad-core A9 processor and 8-megapixel camera module (backside-illuminated sensor is made by Sony). LG Optimus L7 coming to Rogers and Fido within days

LG Optimus L7 is coming to Rogers and Fido in coming days. There has yet to be a confirmation on the exact date but according to Future Shop, we do know is that the device can be had for $0 on a 3-year contract. The L7 will sport a 4.3-inchd play, run Android 4.0 ICS, 1Ghz processor, 5-megapixel camera, all packed into a streamline 8.7mm profile.

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich now running on 7.1% of all Android devices

According to the Android developers blog they now say Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich now powers 7.1% of all Android devices, an increase of 2.2% from 4.9% last month. The spike was most likely due to the release of Android 4.0 smartphones, such as the HTC One X, S, V and the number will only jump up even higher as Samsung Galaxy S III’s make it to store shelves around the world as.

Blackberry Curve 9320 coming to Virgin Mobile on June 4th, 2012

The newest baby Blackberry that was launched internationally is come to Canada on Monday, June 4th. Virgin Mobile will unleash the entry-level Curve 9320 and it’s coming packed with a dedicated BBM button. The price was originally $300 but now the company has decided to mark down the price to an affordable $150. The handset is a derivative of the classic Blackberry Curve 8500 and Curve.

Koodo Mobile launches HTC One V with $50 discount out of the gates

Koodo has launched the HTC One V today and has put the smartphone on sale right off the bat. Internal documents suggest the retail price is $225, which was still under competition, but they have decided to position the device down by $50 and sell it at an astonishing $175. At this price it is a steal for an entry-level Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich handset. Now don’t get this confused.

Samsung sells over 50 million of Galaxy S and Galaxy S II devices

Samsung has made quite a dent in the smartphone market, mainly due to its huge success with their flagship Galaxy smartphones. The Galaxy S, Galaxy S II and the Galaxy Note have propelled the Korean company to being the leading Android OEM as well as being the world’s largest mobile manufacturer. They have announced that the Galaxy S and the Galaxy S II have sold more than 50 million.

TELUS Samsung Galaxy S III price points are now online

We have some great news today for customers on TELUS as the carrier will be releasing the Samsung Galaxy S III on June 20th. Pre-orders went live on Wednesday where they revealed the 3-year contract price for both 16GB and 32GB versions at $159.99 and $209.99 respectively. The no-term price will be $679.99 for the 16GB and $749.99 for the 32GB. Below are some numbers you should expect at.
