Google updates Maps, Chrome Beta and Shopper

Google has rolled out updates to a handful of its Android applications. First, a new beta download is now available for Chrome for Android 4.0, other known as Ice Cream Sandwich., which fixes its first batch of bugs and improves stability. Next is the new version of Google Maps for Android, which does not currently include offline support just yet, but does add access to user reviews, directions.

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich now running on 7.1% of all Android devices

According to the Android developers blog they now say Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich now powers 7.1% of all Android devices, an increase of 2.2% from 4.9% last month. The spike was most likely due to the release of Android 4.0 smartphones, such as the HTC One X, S, V and the number will only jump up even higher as Samsung Galaxy S III’s make it to store shelves around the world as.

Samsung will upgrade Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note to Android 4 ICS by Q1 2012

Samsung has just announced its plans to make the Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note its first Android 4.0 devices in the first quarter of next year, and the other Galaxy devices and will soon follow. Google to bring a Nexus tablet to market within the next six months

Google’s former CEO and current Chairman, Eric Schmidt, has told an Italian publication that the company plans to bring a Nexus branded tablet to market within the next six months. Although the Motorola Xoom could be unofficially dubbed as the first Nexus tablet, since it was the first to run Google’s stock version of Android 3.0 Honeycomb, it still looked very much like a Motorola.

Adobe releases Flash Player 11.1 for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich devices

All Android users should start getting use to not having Flash available on their devices now because as we reported previously, Adobe has put an end to supporting Mobile Flash on Android and Blackberry devices. Galaxy Nexus receives its first OTA update

The Samsung-built Galaxy Nexus is not even two months old and it has received its first OTA update.
