Asus Transformer Prime and Transformer Pad Infinity getting Jelly Bean “soon”

Asus has announced that their top of the line pair of NVIDIA Tegra 3 powered tablets, the Transformer Prime and Transformer Pad Infinity, will be upgraded to the latest and greatest that Android has to offer. Yes, you read it correctly, Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean is coming “soon” according to the company’s Facebook fan page. On their status update they posted, “Hooray!.

Asus Transformer Prime arrives in the hands of Canadians early — just in time for Christmas

There is no doubt that throughout North America, fans of the ASUS Transformer Prime have been experiencing panic attacks as uncertainty over the availability of the world’s first tablet to run NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 processor grows more each day. A few days ago we reported that TigerDirect Canada started shipping the tablet out to those who pre-ordered.

Tiger Direct Canada now shipping Asus Transformer Prime — should arrive on Wednesday

After many reports of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime being delayed, it looks like those who pre-ordered the Tegra 3 quad-core tablet from Tiger Direct Canada are the few lucky ones to get their shipment. According to the image above, the Android 2.3 Honeycomb-based Transformer Prime is en route to Canada from south of the border and should arrive by days end on December 21st.

ASUS Italy reports Transformer Prime delays — will not make it before the Christmas holiday

It looks like Canada and US are not the only countries to experience the delay of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime. On ASUS’ Italy Facebook page they posted that the Transformer Prime will not make it in time for the Christmas holiday season and it will arrive at the end of January. At this point we’re not entirely sure why ASUS is delaying the launch of the Transformer Prime.

Future Shop confirms that ASUS Transformer Prime shipping is delayed

Over the weekend we reported that Canadian retailer, NCIX, sent out an email to its customers who pre-ordered the highly anticipated ASUS Eee Transformer Prime saying that the tablet was delayed due to WiFi not meeting standards: “Unfortunately, we just received word that the ASUS Transformer Prime has been delayed worldwide and will most likely not be available before Christmas. ASUS.
